O trio norte-americano R.E.M. divulgou detalhes sobre o novo álbum ao vivo que em breve estará nas lojas. Batizado como “R.E.M. Live at the Olympia” o novo trabalho traz registrado gravações da série de shows que a banda fez em 2007, em Dublin, na Irlanda.
O lançamento estará disponível a partir de 26 de outubro em CD, LP e DVD. O DVD traz cenas dos shows e dos bastidores da turnê e foi dirigido por Vincent Moon e Jeremiah.
O mais recente disco de estúdio do R.E.M., “Accelerate”, foi lançado em 2008 e a turnê de divulgação passou pelo Brasil em novembro do ano passado. Abaixo o repertório completo de “R.E.M. Live at the Olympia”:

Eu tinha uma certa resistência com os primeiros materiais ao vivo do REM, que careciam de técnica mas sobrava empolgação. Hoje, mais maduros, os shows que tenho visto são muito bons, tecnicamente e em termos de performance também. Assim que sair, pinta por aqui, claro!
